Create a Custom Section with Padds

Use Padds to create a custom section quickly and easily

• Open Padds from the PROKON Calcpad
• Click on File. Click on Read DWG/DXF/CEX, browse to the file location of the custom profile drawing, and click Open
• Click on Macro, next click Generate input file. Then click on the P button, for Prosec
• Follow the prompts in the bottom left corner of Padds:
  • Indicate line to trace
  • Indicate opening to trace (Press Esc when done)
  • Indicate next outline line to trace (Press Esc when done)

Once the section is specified, the section will open in Prosec

• In Prosec, click on Output (the section needs to be analyzed before exporting it to the Section Database)
• Click on File then on Export to Section Database
• In the Section Database, click File and then Save
