How to add sections to the database

A user-defined section can be added to the database to be used for analysis or design

  1. In Calcpad, go to General tab, Databases panel and select Sections
  2. In the section database, select a material (steel, concrete, or timber) and the type of section you would like to add
  3. In the table, click on a cell and press Ctrl+I to insert a new row
  4. Define the new section designation with its parameters on the white cells; the section properties on the yellow cells are automatically calculated
  5. Click File > Save to store the changes
The new section can be selected for analysis or design in other modules.
