Add multiple point supports to the model

Multiple point supports can be added to a model at once by selecting the desired nodes

To insert multiple point supports, the following steps can be adopted in Sumo:

  • Navigate to Structure tab > Supports panel
  • Select the drop-down for Point or Pad Footing
  • Select Multiple
  • Multiple supports can be added in one go by holding left-click on the mouse and dragging to enable window select.
  • Window select the nodes you want to place supports on.

Note: If the entire column is selected supports will be placed on both ends. To avoid this, use the Front or Side Views and select the bottom half of the column/s.
