Add sub-frame strips to the model

To insert a Sub-frame Strip in your model, the following steps can be adopted in Sumo:

• Navigate to the Standard workspace in Sumo
• In the Structure tab
• Navigate to Curve Elements panel > Sub-frame Strip
• In the Settings panel input the desired width Left and Right
• Draw the Sub-frame Strip onto the slab between supports and other points of interest
• Press Enter to view the sub-frame strip drawn
• Click General panel > Accept to finish

To export to Continuous Beam for analysis, design and detailing:

• Navigate to Design Links workspace in Sumo
• In the Design tab > Concrete panel
• Click Sub-frame

Alternatively:

• Navigate to the Design Links workspace in Sumo
• Navigate to the Sub-frames table at the bottom of the screen.
• Select Design on the sub-frame of choice if multiple is present in the model
