Using template files in Sumo

This article explains how template files work and how to create them. Template files help you start new projects with predefined settings and inputs.

How to create a template file

  1. Go to File > New
  2. Enter the data you want every new model to start with (e.g., common sections, design codes, materials, etc.)
  3. Go to File > Save as and choose Sumo Template Files (*.Sute) from the type list.

How to configure Sumo to start-up the template

  1. Go to File > Settings > Workspace
  2. Check the template box and specify the path to your template
Next time a new file is created, it will be based on the template.
